I attended Bridgeton school for 7 years and I have visited Bridgeton several times. it is Bridgeton that impacted my life more than any other location I have ever lived or visited!! It is my favorite place in the world to visit. I have taken friends to the bridge for picnics and to wade in the water. There is no better place on earth than Bridgeton, Indiana.

I played basketball at the Bridgeton school in 1961 and I had no idea the building was still in existence. I enjoyed so very much the opportunity to walk in that old gymnasium once again. I can't start the Covered Bridge experience each year without stopping at Bridgeton. The beginning of my shopping day starts with one of the wonderful cinnamon rolls and coffee. Life doesn't get much better than that. Bridgeton is my favorite place to go for the Covered Bridge Festival.

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to Bridgeton on October 13 and especially enjoyed our tour of the Bridgeton Mill. Mike Roe has undertaken quite a task in restoring and operating the mill. We purchased some of his products and are very pleased with the fine quality. The parking was close by, reasonable and the vendors plentiful.

On a beautiful day this past August I was passing through Rockville on my way home from Chicago and decided to see more bridges. I followed the red route, stopping in Bridgeton. The bridge and town were fascinating. However, what I enjoyed the most was an impromptu tour of the grist mill by the mill owner. It was an afternoon well spent.

My husband and I have been coming to the Covered Bridge Festival for 29 of the 30 years we have been married. In fact, our wedding anniversary is October 18, so we consider this part of our anniversary celebration. We really love how Bridgeton has expanded. Continue on with the good work!
